This is known as the largest "dry museum" in the South Eastern Carolinas. With an interactive touch tank, an augmented reality sandbox, and an interactive fossil dig where children can find sharks teeth this museum ranks among one of the areas top attractions.

This museum showcases the local area from historical artifacts and information to local flora and fauna. Here you will find local shells to touch and view. The children will giggle as they splash around in the interactive touch tank. Here they will experience touching local sea welsh, sea stars, sea urchins, and lets not forget the infamous horseshoe crabs. Learn about the green swamp wilderness preserve and all of the creatures found within the preserve.
